Haeata Community College Theatre
Haeata Community College is one of New Zealand's newest PPP (Public-Private Partnership)
high schools. Designed by architects, Andrew Scott Cotton (ASC) the stunning facility meets the needs of teaching and learning
for the 21st century. Because the walls of the Performing Arts Theatre could not bare the load of a conventional acoustic
treatment, ASC devised a solution to use Triton Fabwall 40™ acoustic wall panels combined with Asona’s Ridgeline™
with it’s concealed fixing system to create two bespoke acoustic wall features. The over-sized diamond shaped
Triton Fabwall 40™ panels wrapped in Sustainable Living Classic fabric were positioned at an angle and framed
by Ridgeline natural pine wood baffles to great a stunning visual statement which would control the reverberation
and noise levels in this creative space at half the weight of a conventional solution.
