David Page of Page Henderson Architects selected Asona’s Triton 50 panels to attain maximum acoustic control in the newly refurbished Seeka HQ building in Te Puke. The refurbishment needed to be sympathetic to the original building with it’s unusual rotunda reception and central totem support and mindful of budget constraints. For this reason Asona suggested using 1200 x 2400 sized Triton 50 panels and cutting them on site which saved time & money for the client. David did not want a standard office grid feel so the panels were set into a top-hat channel grid to create a negative detail between each panel echoing the horizontal support struts of the Rotunda. Ceilings unlimited did a stunning job with lining up all the top-hat channel up with lasers so that the tiles transitioned around the room symmetrically. This was extended out into the new open plan office wing and café area to continue the design aesthetic.
